HISTORY OF INTERNATIONAL FEDERATION “CHORUS INSIDE”

The desire to interact with choral communities from all over the world and the passion for choral music brought the founder and current Chairman, Davide Recchia, to set up a national choral network in 2006 and launch an international choral network in 2011.

The vehicle that contributed to strengh the choral network during those years was the Festival Chorus Inside (see Wikipedia page), an event based on a specific format which focuses on the choristers and their needs, a festival which gives value to every single choir regardless of its own repertoire, artistic level and nationality. A place which connects choral communities in the spirit of friendship and solidarity. The denomination and even the logo of our federation expresses this concept.

Another important aspect which distinguishes our Festivals is the choice of locations, our staff selects the most impressive and charming sites where choirs can have the priviledge to perform and make their mark. Rome, Venice, Moscow, Budapest, Prague, Wein, Barcelona, Kiev and Krakow are only a few of the cities which have hosted Chorus Inside events in the last years.
Even the “training” of choirs and conductors has been one of the missions of the federation Chorus Inside since 2011. During the years we have selected leading personalities internationally recognised for their proficiency and professionalism:

 

INTERNATIONAL JURIES have been appointed every year by an artistic committee for all Chorus Inside contests. Since 2011 high-level masterclasses have being offered in our Chorus Inside headquarter in Italy and during all international festivals.

Since 2012 our federation has got a team dedicated to international projects in order to promote cultural exchanges and artistic growth within choral communities. Hundreds of choirs from all over the world have been adopting this channel to strength international relationships among countries.
Since 2018 the INTERNATIONAL FEDERATION CHORUS INSIDE has also become a publishing house and one of its first publication was “ITER VOCALIST” a textbook for Choral vocalism, written by M° Aldo Cicconofri and the MUSIC THEORY TEXTBOOK written by M° Cesare Buccitti.

The federation is currently involved in a new challenging project “voices in the world” which consists in 12 international festivals in 12 European countries with: 400 concerts, 80 masterclasses, workshops and other activities linked to the choral field.
Our staff is composed by volunteers from all over the world coordinated by engr. Karolina Vycaite, the Managing Director, and engr. Daniele Di Caro, our communication officer. While the president of the artistic commission is M° Paquale Veleno.
